
Janet Dawson is the author of the Kay Dexter series, featuring a geriatric care manager is as mall northern Sierra Nevada community. The first in the series is The Sacrificial Daughter.
She also writes the long-running series featuring Oakland private eye Jeri Howard. The first book in the series, Kindred Crimes, won the St. Martin’s Press/Private Eye Writers of America contest for Best First Private Eye novel. Jeri will appear in the forthcoming The Things We Keep.
Her Jill McLeod series, with a mystery-solving Zephyrette, is set in the early 1950s. The most recent book is Death Above the Line.
Other publications include her suspense novel, What You Wish For, a novella, But Not Forgotten, and numerous short stories, including Shamus nominee “Slayer Statute” and Macavity winner “Voice Mail.”
